William "Bill" J. Kaiser, age 94, passed away peacefully at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on December 13, 1929, to parents Virgil & Geraldine (Fisher) Kaiser in Saginaw, MI. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service, Bill met the former Joanne Morford. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 8, 1954. Together they shared 69 years of marriage, 5 children, and countless memories.
Bill loved the Lord and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1962 with his family. He was sealed to his wife and children in the LDS Rexburg, Idaho Temple. Bill held many positions in the LDS church including Ward Mission Leader, Branch President, High Councilor, and Detroit Temple worker.
Throughout his life, Bill loved art. With his degree from the Art Institute of Chicago, he worked as a commercial artist both in Chicago and in Saginaw. His favorite love was watercolors and he painted over 100 water-color paintings. Later in Bill's career he owned and operated V.W. Kaiser Engineering with his brother, Terry Kaiser in Millington, MI. Together they built this heavy-duty trucking supply company, that he loved - until his retirement.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Kaiser; children Larry (Eurlyne) Kaiser, Kathrine (Drake) Piper, Tim (Lynette) Kaiser, Sarah (Mark) Wray; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kaiser; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Barb) Kaiser; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil & Geraldine Kaiser; sister, Candace Kaiser; beloved son, Craig Kaiser; and grandson, Paul Kaiser.
Visitation will be at Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 3-7 PM. Funeral services for Bill will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the funeral home; visitation from 12 PM until the time of service. Interment to occur directly following the funeral service at Millington Twp. Cemetery.
