Wanda J. Edler

Wanda "Minnie" J. Edler, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda Joyce Edler was born on May 30, 1932, in Rhodes, Michigan, to parents Hazen O. Babcock and Bernice (Tude) Babcock. On May 8, 1954, she married the love of her life, Bruce H. Edler Sr. They raised three children Melody (Don) Payea, Butch (Laurae) Edler, and Bruce Edler Jr., and together they celebrated almost 70 years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband; three children; seven grandchildren: Michael (Amber) Ward, Stephanie Oliver, Kris Edler, Nick (Jessica) Edler, Tara (Nate) Hecht, Bruce Edler III, and Eric Payea; eight great-grandchildren: Makenzie (fiancé Mason) Shriner, Cassidie Sebert, Ryker Ward, Emilee Sackman, Remy Hecht, Nash Hecht, Olivia Payea, Tristan Payea Stevens; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Betty Bleuer; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl & Wayne Leix; sister-in-law, Lorine Edler; and brother-in-law, Clare Wheeler.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Babcock, and Jimmy Babcock; sister and brother-in-law, Dolores & John Smithmeyer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clara & Harold Edler; brother-in-law, Ronald Edler; sisters-in-law, Maddie Wheeler, and Beverly Wanamaker; brothers-in-law, Donald Rose, and James Wanamaker; and grandson, Travis Payea.

Wanda's family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. for a memorial gathering.
