Mrs. Virginia Ginger (Stark) Blaylock passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 due to complications from Alzheimer’s. Ginger was 83
Ginger was born May 22, 1935 to the late Kenneth and Virginia (Rutledge) Stark of San Antonia Texas. She received her undergraduate from The University of Texas Austin and her Masters Degree from The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She was a devoted teacher for many years in the Huston, San Antonio and Dallas areas.
Ginger leaves her husband, of 35 years, Tom two sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Jennifer Durbin, John and Townsend Durbin, and daughter and son-in-law Gigi and Robert Dooley. She also leaves six grandsons, Preston Ford, Luke, John, Robert, and Nelson. Additionally, she leaves a sister and brother in-law Suzanne and Bill McCandless, brother-in-law Bill Blaylock, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents, her sister Peggy Trieschman also precedes her in death.
The Blaylock family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday June 6,2018 beginning at 10:00 am. Funeral services for Ginger will begin at 11:00 am also, at the Hanlin Funeral Home. The burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Michigan. Pastor Dennis Squires will deliver the funeral message, and the closing committal prayer at the cemetery. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
