Victor (Vic) Schwab Jr.

Schwab, Victor G. (Vic) of Millington, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home.

Born October 30, 1932 to Victor and Lucille Schwab Sr. He graduated from Millington High School in 1950 and enlisted in the US Navy in the fall of that year.  On October 23, 1954 he married Carol Ann (Hahn), and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage. Vic was also one of the first Eagle Scouts of Vassar.

Vic is survived by his wife Carol, son Victor (Terry) Schwab, daughter Lynn (John) Borcherding, daughter Katherine (Doyle) Durkee, son Daniel Schwab (Denise Stevens), daughter Chris Schwab (Mike Barden), 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, brother Dave (Rita) Schwab, sisters Pat Betts, Karen (Jim) Henderson, Eleanor (Melvin) Ayotte, brother-in-law Stan Hahn, sisters in law Elaine Cobb, Mildred (Tom) Malone, Barb Hahn, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Schwab, sisters Betty Mills and Donna Kirby, his son David Schwab, his grandson Pete Schwab and granddaughter Cassie Schwab.

The family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral home, Millington- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 12.  A funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Millington- Monday, September 13 at 11 a.m.
