Mr. Thomas H (Tom) Glynn, a lifelong resident of Millington passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Monday, November 28, 2022, at the age of 69.
Tom was the son of the late Wayne & Betty (Mills) Glynn and was born on May 6, 1953. He graduated from Millington High School with the class of 1971. For a period of 16 ½ years, Tom worked for General Motors. After leaving General Motors Tom owned and operated Superior Service for 15 years, which was a towing and auto repair shop. Tom received his certification for towing and recovery from University of Georgia and was very proud of that accomplishment. On May 4, 1985, Tom married Pamela Coon, and they have celebrated 37 years of marriage. Tom was also active in the community; he served two terms on the Village Council. He and Pamela were actively attending the Pineview Mennonite Church and were also past members of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Tom loved his adventures to Trout Camp every spring with the guys and earned his “Man Card”. He loved camping in his Argosy. Pranking people was his hobby and he usually got the last laugh. His large smile, his contagious laugh, and his endless willingness to help others will be missed but not forgotten.
Tom leaves his wife Pamela and two daughters and son in-laws. Sara & Ryan Camp, and Laura & Matthew Brown. He also leaves his siblings: Larry (Kathy) Glynn, Timothy Glynn, Rosemaria (Stephen) Alvord, his very dear friend James and wife Beth Gleason; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Besides his parents Tom is preceded in death by sister, Angela (Glynn) Burton and grandson Hunter.
The Glynn family has honored Tom’s request and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Tom’s life on Saturday December 10, 2022, beginning at 11:00 with a time of visitation with the family beginning at 10:30 at the Pineview Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you please consider a gift to the Gideon Bibles a charity that Tom was very fond of. Family expresses a heartfelt thank you to those who helped with Tom during this very difficult time.
