Dr. Thomas “Tom” Adrian Blaylock passed away Wednesday April 13th, 2022 from natural causes at the age of 87.
Tom was the son of the late Raymond and Mabel Blaylock and was born in Buffalo New York on June 12th, 1934.
At 22 he joined the Airforce where he taught Russian Geography to Airmen. After being honorably discharged from the Airforce, he went to the University of Texas to continue his education and then shortly after graduated from Baylor Dental school. He was a successful dentist in the Dallas, Texas area for many years.
Tom was a devoted husband to the late Virginia (Ginger) Stark for 34 years and they lived in the South Texas area their entire marriage. However, they both enjoyed spending their summers in Michigan for the cooler weather as he did when he was young.
Tom is survived by his brother William “Bill” Blaylock of Saline Michigan, one step-daughter and son-in law, Gigi and Rob Dooley, and two step-sons and daughters-in-laws, Jamie and Jennifer Durbin, John and Townsend Durbin. He also leaves one granddaughter, Lauren and six grandsons, Preston, Ford, Luke, John, Robert, and Nelson. Tom is preceded in his death by his wife Ginger and two sons, Tony and Stewart Blaylock.
Visitation and funeral services will at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Friday May 6th, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Michigan.
