Thomas Smith Jr.

Thomas A. Smith Jr., of Millington, passed away on January 7, 2022 at 9:59 a.m. at Beaumont Hospital at the age of 32.

Thomas was born on August 22, 1989, to Thomas Smith Sr. and Misty Miller. Tom was married to Shannon (Jones) Smith. Together they were the proud parents of two boys, who were the lights of their life. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, making crystal jewelry, electronics, and loved cars. Tom was always optimistic and will be forever missed by many.

Those left to carry Tom’s legacy include his: wife, Shannon; two sons, Alec (age 10), and Bentley (age 4); mother and father Thomas Sr. and Misty Miller; sisters, Crystal (Ronnie) L. Haday, Jasmine (Ryan) R. Wallace, and Katlynn K. Smith; brother, Desmond A. Smith; and two brother-in-law’s, Matthew (Alexis) G. Jones and Anthony R. Morgan; mother and father-in-law Carolyn and Paul Jones; three nephews; five nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Kathleen Miller and Ruth Averil.

Services to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Hanlin Funeral Home. The family will welcome guests from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to the family in care of Shannon and her sons.
