Millington - Theodore “Ted” Wooldridge, age 64, our helpful, giving, and loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Sevierville, TN.
Ted was born in Somerville, TN, on July 31, 1957. He graduated from Millington High School with the Class of 1975, where he was a member of the Millington Cardinals football and track teams. On July 18, 1997, Ted married Shelly Brown, and together they shared 24 wonderful years. Ted retired from Super Foods, Inc./Nash Finch, Co., in 2010, after 35 years of service. Never one to sit still, Ted lent his skills in landscaping at Willow Springs Golf and Country Club. Further, he loved time spent outdoors doing various activities such as: landscaping, cutting wood, and yard work. He also enjoyed watching grandkids play sports, golfing, a game of cornhole, puzzles, fishing, watching his westerns, and playing softball in Fostoria. Ted was a passionate and devout Michigan Wolverines fan, who “bled Maize & Blue”, and never missed a game. Ted was fond of the simpler things in life; a day spent working outside, family BBQs, and listening to Bob Segar.
Ted is forever loved by his wife, Shelly; children: Joshua (Angelique) Wooldridge, Nicole (Craig) Stiff, and Tyler Wooldridge; grandchildren: Anika, Jackson, Ian, Emmitt, and Alexis; and his four-legged “Grand-pups”, Reggie and Hazel; father-and-mother-in-law, Henry & Jill Brown; brother-in-law, Mark (Wendy) Brown. Siblings: Marty Northern, Joya Hudgins, Camelo Northern, Henry Northern, Kim (Perry) Morrison, David (Rhonda) Northern, and Shelly (Tommy) Harper; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Welcoming Ted home to Heaven are his parents, David and Geartha Mae Northern; brothers, Lee Wooldridge, and Alvin Wooldridge; sister, Linda Wooldridge; and granddaughter, Jordyn Mae Wooldridge.
