Mr. Theodore “Ted” Patrick Stilson, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born on June 25, 1949, to parents Theodore J. & Edna (née Arnold) Stilson. He was raised alongside his three sisters and graduated from Millington High School. In school, Ted met the former Carolyn Taylor. The school sweethearts began a lifelong love and were united in marriage on February 22, 1969. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage, shared countless memories, and raised their two children Theodore and Reneé. Before retiring in 1998, Ted worked for Buick as a technician. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved to deer hunt and fish. Further, he was also a member of the Richville Conservation Club and Al-Anon. Ted enjoyed time spent up north at the cabin in East Jordan, camping, cooking, baking, and playing cards. He was a skilled woodworker and made many cherished gifts for family and friends. Above all, Ted loved his family and being a grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; son, Theodore (Janelle) Stilson; daughter, Reneé (Chad) Gaeth; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters: Priscilla Parrott, Diane (Ron) Loveland, Dawn Dodge; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends; as well as special friend, Michael Miller.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, and father-and-mother-in-law, William & Kathern Taylor.
