Sheila Ann Luedtke, 62, of Millington, MI lost her short battle with cancer on January 9, 2023 all the while putting on a brave face for her family, and trusting in the Lord to do His work.
Sheila was born on February 2, 1960 to Eugene and Janice (Klausing) Tefft in Pontiac, MI. She attended school in Williamston before graduating Cum Laude from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Sheila cut hair throughout her college years, and eventually owned her own in home salon after meeting Alan Luedtke through a mutual friend. They were married on August 1, 1987 and recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. Sheila and Alan loved traveling together, golfing on any course they could find, and cheering on the Spartans even til the end.
Sheila always wanted to be involved in anything and everything, especially when it came to her own kids. She coached sports teams, lead girl scout troops, worked with the PTA at school, headed up class councils, taught religious education classes, was a second mom to many and never missed a single event in her children’s lives. Sheila loved a good pun, especially golf related “of course” and enjoyed spending her time bowling, painting, gardening and playing a good ole hand of euchre. Being a grandma was her most recent love; her granddaughters kept her on her toes and quickly refilled her empty nest. Through it all, Sheila’s faith in the Lord gave her courage and strength, always trusting that He would take care of her even in the most difficult of times.
Sheila was proceeded in death by her parents Janice (Klausing) (Tefft) Klanecky and Eugene Tefft. She is survived by her husband, Alan Luedtke; her four children Kyle (Katy) Luedtke, Brandon (Jessica) Luedtke, Kristen Luedtke, and Chelsea (Nathan) McGuire; her four granddaughters, Kaylie Luedtke, Kennedy Luedtke, Callie McGuire and Gwendolyn Luedtke; her stepfather Mike Klanecky and sister Karen DeCaire along with other in laws and nieces and nephews.
