Rose Ann Erdody, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at home with her beloved dog, Max, and close family members by her side.
Rose was born on August 14th, 1933, in Saginaw to parents Herman & Linda (Liebknecht) Humpert. She was the fourth of thirteen children. On September 12th, 1953, she married Frank Erdody and together they shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2013. Frank and Rose were lifelong farmers. Rose was a member of VFW Post 7486 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, watching fireworks, and going for rides around the family farm. She will be remembered for her love of animals, a sweet tooth for dessert after dinner, and being devoted to her family.
Rose is survived by her siblings: Jerald Humpert, Sharon Tobias, Joseph (Gloria) Humpert, and James Humpert; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; dog, Max; and cat, Foofoo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Herman & Linda; siblings: Betty Jobson, Wesley Liebknecht, Herman Humpert, Donald Humpert, Roy Humpert, Mary Jane Daniels, William Humpert, and Linda Colman; brothers-in-law, John Tobias and Ron Colman.
The family will welcome guests to Hanlin Funeral Home-Vassar on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, from 9-11 a.m. Services for Rose will begin at 11 a.m. Immediately afterwards, Rose will be laid to rest next to her husband, Frank, at Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Rose’s name are asked to consider the Tuscola County Animal Shelter.
