Ronald L. Monroe

Ronald Lee Monroe of Flushing, MI passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 71. 

Ron was born on June 26, 1953, in Millington, MI. He was the son of the late Jack and Lois Monroe. He was raised in Millington and graduated from Millington High School where he lettered in football. Growing up in Millington helped define Ron’s love for the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt and go camping with friends and family. Ron had other hobbies including racing cars and golf, which he was very good at all, but his passion was hunting white tail deer. To Ron, the opening day of deer season was treated as a national holiday.

Ronald Lee Monroe will be forever loved by his three children: Todd Monroe, Brian (Jennifer) Monroe, and Meagan Carlson, seven grandchildren: Larissa (Chester), Lucas, Conner, Lauren, Cali, Ronald, and Caiden, and one great grandchild, Keneth Wayne Cottrell, four siblings: Steve (LaVerne) Monroe, Earl (Carol) Monroe, Gale and Cindy (Tom) Holcomb. 

A time of remembrance for Ron will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington; visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. and lasts until the time of the service.
