Rodney Allen Hultz of Millington, MI passed away suddenly Friday April 7, 2017. Rodney was 47. Rodney Allen Hultz was born in Flint, MI on February 7, 1970 and was the son of Roscoe and Doris Hultz. Rodney was married to Dana Sylvester. Together they celebrated 15 years of marriage.

Rodney loved being outside doing the things he loved like working on his tractor, welding and fabricating, and building trailers. He worked on cars and was a car painter. He also enjoyed carpentry. He was a karate instructor in Vassar and Mt. Morris and he had his black belt. He also liked watching football. Most of all Rodney loved spending time with his wife and children including his nephews and nieces.


Rodney leaves; his family. Dana Hultz, children Whitney, Brianna, and Cody. Rodney leaves his mother Doris Hultz, brother Roscoe (RE) and sister-in-law JoAnn Hultz, sister Dorothy Benmark. Rodney also leaves extended family, Uncle Ralph and Aunt Linda Watkins, along with several nieces and nephews, and his best friend Tim Baker. Rodney is also preceded in death by his father Roscoe Hultz.

The Hultz family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington, MI where Rodney will lie in state on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral service will take place Thursday April 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington, MI. Rodney will lie in state from 12:00 pm until time of service. Burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris, MI following the service. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Hultz family.
