Mrs. Roberta Lynn Chappell, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Roberta was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on May 17, 1938, to Major & Anna Moore (née Smith). On July 17, 1963, Roberta married the love-of-her-life, Elmer Chappell and together they shared 61 years of marriage. Roberta was gifted with a wonderful singing voice and she also enjoyed dancing. Further, Roberta had an eye for design and loved to decorate her home. She also was an excellent cook, and the aroma of her meals filled the home. Roberta was a woman of faith and was active with the Harvest Time Tabernacle in Flint, Michigan. Above all, Roberta loved her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Elmer Chappell; grandchildren: Alyse (Rod) Lehrke, Aaron (Lindsey) Scicluna, Stephen (Leah) Scicluna, and Brianna Scicluna; many great-grandchildren; sister, Jessie Lee Baker; brother, Gary Moore; nieces & nephews: Anne, Corky, Christine, Jack, Scott, Timothy, Ed, Laurie, Theresa, David, Charen, Kadence, Fred, Gary Jr., Kyle, Megan, Ashley, Stace, Collin, Denver Jr., Marjorie, and Denise; stepson, Ronald Chappell; and extended family and friends.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Major & Anna; daughter, Sharon Lee Scicluna; and siblings: Ramona Hewitt, Denver Moore, and Terry Moore.
Private arrangements have been made.
