Robert Betz

Robert Dean Betz passed away suddenly Monday, October 24, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Robert was 59 years old.

Robert Dean Betz was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 22, 1957, and was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Gleason) Betz. Robert worked for Hank Graff in Davison, Michigan and loved his job. Robert loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved hunting especially duck hunting, fishing, U of M football, Red Wings Hockey, and he was a big supporter of the Boy Scouts Annual Trap Shoot.

Robert leaves his family, Son Ryan and daughter-in-law Melissa Betz and daughter Rachelle and son-in-law Tal Hemrick. His seven grandchildren Hunter, Keegan, Ethan, Chloe, Adalyn, Claire, and Penny. Robert also leaves behind several brothers and sisters, Ronald and wife Lezlie Betz, Roberta Haynes, Larry and wife Karen Betz, Patricia Miller, Sherry Loucks, Thomas and wife Deb Betz, and Connie Betz.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Marjorie Betz, and also his sister Beatrice (Sue) Accord.

The Betz family will receive friends for visitation at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan, on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 4:00-8:00pm. A memorial service is planned for Saturday October 29,2016. Visitation on Saturday will be from 12:00pm until time of service at 1:00pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made out to the Millington Fire Fighters.
