Richard Daniel (Danny) Blackemer a lifetime Millington resident passed away suddenly Wednesday morning January 30, 2013, Danny was 42.

Born on Septrember 20, 1970 in Flint, Michigan Danny was the son of Richard T. (Dick) & Nolavay (Bushaw) Blackmer. Danny was a 1996 graduate of Highland Pines of Caro MI, Danny loved going out on the boat, and attending sporting events cheering on the Millington Cardinal teams. He loved being around the farm, and one of his high lights in life was when he got to meet Detroit Tiger Manager the late Sparky Anderson, professional athletes Allen Trammel, and Billy Simms.

Danny leaves to cherish his many memories, his parents Dick & Nolavay, three sisters and a brother in-law, Cindie & Tim McCoulloch, Lorie Blackmer, and Kelly Blackmer, nieces and nephews; Taylor, Jacob, Andrew, Madison, Ainsley, Christian, and isabelle, also several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family. Special friends, Earl Hergenreder, Eldon & Diane Prosch, and his special care givers BK- Bolf, Mindy & Johnny, and the many other caregivers through the many years while at the Fields of Dreams Assisted Living.

Service Information

Funeral services for Danny where held on Saturday February 2, 2013 at the Millington United Methodist Church. His sisters Kelly and Cindie delivered the eulogy and Pastor Pete Crawford delivered a brief message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. The burial followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
