Raymond H. Foshee

Raymond Hollis Foshee (a.k.a. Hillbilly) was born on November 3, 1945, passed away peacefully in his home April 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond was the son of Myrtle (Wilson) Foshee and Jesse Foshee. Raymond was of English descent, but was all-American haling from Cullman, Alabama.

Raymond is survived by his wife Priscilla Maxine (Weatherford) Foshee; siblings: Shirley Carriveau, Martha Sue Evelyn Lambert; children: Sharon Lynn Clark, Raymond Harold Foshee, and Thomas Anthony Foshee and his wife Melody; grandchildren: Kimberly Fackler and husband Andrew, Ashley Bellman and husband Eric, Susan Brewer and husband Matt, Robert Foshee and wife Brittany, Bradley Clark, Brice Brannam, and James Winks.

Raymond was known as "Papa" to his great-grandchildren: Drew, Nyko, Peyton, Rayven, Parker, Cameron, and Chloe.

He was preceded in death by: JC Foshee, Sybil Coffey, Richard Foshee, Elmer Lee Foshee, Sherman Foshee, Louise Silvernail, and Donnal Foshee.

Raymond retired from GM in 1995 and in his spare time he loved to ride horses, quads, and motorcycles. Raymond also loved to fish, garden, and working on vehicles. He was very social and loved to be with his friends and have parties and dance. He also enjoyed drag race when he was in his prime. Raymond was also a great story teller and loved to play with his grand and great-grandchildren.

He was affiliated with the Eagles of Vassar and the N.R.A.

Raymond's family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar from 3 - 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Funeral services for Raymond will follow at the funeral home at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025; additional time of visiting from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Tony Jacobs will officiate.
