Norma Jean Anselmi of Bradford, AR., formerly of Millington, MI., passed away peacefully at the Springs of Searcy rehabilitation facility located in Searcy AR., on October 19, 2023.  

 

Norma Jean (Jean as she liked to be called) was born October 19, 1936, in Newport, AR. Norma Jean graduated from Newport high school in Newport AR., in 1954. The daughter of Elias William Osburn and Geneva May Massey and one of nine children:  Vera Kathryn (predeceased), Ruth LaNell Bennett, Robert Wayne Osburn (predeceased), Ethel Louise Rose, Charles Edward Osburn, James William Osburn (predeceased), Sandra Lynn Gates, Kenneth Allen Osburn, and Dorothy Epperson, a special cousin who was like a sister.


Jean and her husband George Raymond Anselmi (predeceased), of 34 years, were married in Hernando, MS., and had four children:  Billy Ray (Janet) Anselmi, Jerry Lee Anselmi (predeceased), Teena Gay Gager, Nina Renee (Steve) De Bo.  Jean had seven grandchildren:  Michael Lee (Trisha) Gager, Eric Wayne (Christine) Anselmi, Chad Allen (Kimberly) Anselmi, Janda Maree (Alex) Concepcion, Allison Rene (Hailey) Wainwright, Devin Joanne De Bo, Tyler Stephen De Bo.  Jean also had four great-grandchildren: Kynissan Maree Gillespie, Marijayne Diane Menear, Johnny Alan Menear, Olivia Kay Anselmi, Trista, Joseph, and Hope. Great-Great Grandchildren, Alphonse and Jasper. Two great-grandchildren Hawk and Kayla have preceded her in death.

 

Raymond and Jean started their life together in Millington, MI. Raymond worked for General Motors for 30 years, until his retirement in 1984.  Jean and Raymond returned to his hometown of Bradford, AR. thereafter.   They continued their life together until Raymond's passing in 1988.  Jean eventually stayed with her daughter and son in-law, Nina and Steve De Bo, in Naples, FL., from 2016 to 2023.


Funeral arrangements by Bradford Funeral Home, Bradford, AR., on October 23, 2023, and another visitation will be at Hanlin Funeral Home, Millington, MI., on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4-7 p.m.  Jean's funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the funeral home, followed by interment at the Gunnell Cemetery, Millington, MI.
