Nick Apsey

Nick William-Gregg Apsey, age 18, our caring, gentle, kind, and loving son, grandson, brudder, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, and “Gentle Giant”, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Nick was born on June 4, 2005, in Saginaw, MI, to parents Nick & Jeanette (Griffin) Apsey. Nick was raised alongside his two sisters, Alison and Samantha. He was currently a student at Millington High School with the Class of 2024 and was active in the powerlifting team and was studying construction at the Tuscola Technology Center. Further, he had worked with Millington Pizza ‘N More. He enjoyed time spent golfing, fishing, watching anime, playing video games, and playing practical jokes on family. He was always looking to take care of an underdog and to make others happy and laugh. Above all, Nick loved his family and friends and the time spent with them. He will be sorely missed.

Nick is forever loved by his parents, Nick & Jeanette Apsey; sisters, Alison (Dustin) Paciorek, and Samantha Fridline; grandparents, Janet & Matthew Christe; great-grandparent, Barbara “Honey” Thompson; nieces and nephews, Layla, Dustin Jr., Charlotte, and Lucas; uncles, Jesse (Angeline) Apsey, and Andy Apsey; cousins, Trinity, and Serenity; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William Griffin, Jackene (Carl) Buchler, and Gregg Apsey.

Nick’s family will welcome guests to the Millington Church of God (4855 Barnes Road, Millington, MI 48746) on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 12 p.m. until the time of Nick’s 3 p.m. funeral service. Further, there will be a candlelight vigil held at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Millington High School.
