Ms. Barbara Smith

Ms. Barbara A. (McNeal) Smith of Vassar passed from our world into God's Kingdom late Friday evening September 19, 2014 with her family at her side while at the Covenant Health Care Center Cooper Campus of Saginaw MI, Barbara was 66.

Barbara was the daughter of the late William & Sarah (Cook) Mc Neal and was born in Geneva Alabama on February 22, of 1948, and has been a Vassar resident for many years. Barbara raised her family in Vassar and worked for many years in a small manufacturing company as a supervisor.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Rhonda Finch, Sherry Vickers, and Crystal Smith, grandchildren; Daniel Smith, Heaven Smith, Shamara & husband Drew Baker, Kayla Smith, Lashunda Vickers, Keif Vickers, Ricardo Macon, Demetrius Finch, Ezekiel Finch, great grandchildren; Marcus Baker, Bailey Smith, Isaac Baker, and Elijah Smith, sisters Brenda and Deloris, and a lifetime partner Louis Surles. Barbara leaves also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews other extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Barbara were held on Friday September 26, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Vassar MI. Cremation followed and a private burial of the urn will take place at a later date.
