Mr. William Slabaugh

William Henry Slabaugh died December 20, 2010. Born September 19, 1923 and married to Irene Ellen Mayer on August 18, 1946, he was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, five brothers, and one granddaughter, Erin Noel Slabaugh.

He was survived by his wife, Irene, children: David & Jane Slabaugh, Karen & Glen Yoder, Michele Slabaugh, Joe Slabaugh, and Mary & Michael Zehr, and eight grandchildren: Nathaniel and Mark Slabaugh, Peter, John, and Anna Yoder, Nathan Slabaugh, and Samuel and Julia Zehr.
He had one remaining brother, Daniel Slabaugh, two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, fifty two nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews each of whom he was proud to claim as his own for each uniquely enriched his life.

His greatest desire and prayer for each of them, as well as for his many friends, is that each one would know the salvation which comes only at the cross of Jesus Christ so that he may look forward to the reunion with them that he is now enjoying with those who have preceeded him.

A celebration of Henry's life was held on Thursday December 23, 2010 at the Pineview Mennonite Church in Vassar, MI. The family has honored Henry's wishes and cremation has taken place.
