Mr. William Persails

William Lawson (Bill) Persails of Hudson Florida, formerly of Millington MI, Flint, MI and West Branch MI, passed away Saturday March 9th, 2013 while at the Regional Medical Center in Hudson FL, Bill was 78.

William Lawson Persails was the son of the late William F. & Mary E. (McCormick) Persails and was born in West Branch MI on April 6, 1934. As a youngster Bill grew up on the North end of Flint. He served our country during the Korean war, serving in the 25th RTC, Bill was very proud to serve during his tour. After he returned from serving our country, Bill never quit serving. He loved the working man and as he was employed for many years with General Motors he was a proud member of UAW Local 598. While working Bill proudly served his fellow workers as a VP- and eventually Shop Chairman of the UAW Local 598, Bill was also a loyal Democrat. He loved sports and especially watching the mighty Detroit Tigers, but he equally loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports as well.

Bill leaves his wife Betty, children, William & wife Teri Persails, Robert Persails, Mark & wife Toni Persails, and Adam & Kelly Persails., nine grandchildren, Wayne & wife Amy Persails, Ryan & wife Tracy Persails, Stephanie & husband Antony Thornburg, Barbara Persails, Joseph Persails, Nicholas Persails, Zoey Persails, Ella Persails, Maximus Persails, and Collin Wetzel, great-grandchildren, Paige, Micky, Wyatt, Landyn, Caitlyn, Emma, Brittany,, Alyssa, and Bruce. Bill leaves also a brother Leo Persails, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many, many friends. Besides his parents Bill is also preceded in death by a son Ronnie, and a brother Norman. The family would like to give a very special recognition to cousin Roy& Joyce Persails.

The Persails family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington MI on Monday March 18, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will also be a brief time of visitation prior to the services on Tuesday March 19, 2013 from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington MI.

A private burial will take place at a later date at the Edwards Cemetery in West Branch, MI.
