Mr. Wilfred Schultz

Mr. Wilfred L. Schultz of Bay City formerly of Millington, MI passed from our world into God’s Kingdom early Wednesday morning February 22, 2017 while at the Bay County Medical Care Facility in Bay City, MI. Wilfred was 94. Wilfred was born in Port Hope, Michigan on January 26, 1923 and was the son of the late William T. and Martha (Lupcke) Schultz. Wilfred owned and operated his own farm all of his adult life. On April 17, 1971Wilfred married Erna Keinath, and together they celebrated 35 years of marriage before Erna passed away in July of 2006. Wilfred was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington and was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Munger, Michigan.

Wilfred is survived by two step-children: Ed and wife Marcia Keinath, Marjorie Keinath; two sisters: Bonita Norrington of Grand Blanc, MI, and Helen and husband Chuck Barcia of Bay City, MI; a sister in-law Clara Schultz of Bay City, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides his wife and parents Wilfred is also preceded in death by a brother; Leon Schultz, and a brother in-law Elmer Norrington.

The Schultz family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Friday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and for a brief time an hour prior to the funeral beginning. Funeral services for Wilfred will be at 11:00 am on Saturday February 25, 2017 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI. A private burial will follow at the Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Schultz family wishes to convey their heartfelt thanks and greatly apricate the staff at the Bay County Medical Care Facility 2-West and to Dr. Michael Gruber for their kind and compassionate care given to their uncle Wilfred.
