Mrs. Wanda Dean

Mrs. Wanda F. Dean of Millington, MI passed away early Wednesday morning January 24, 2018 while at the Melody Pines Assisted Living in Genesee Township, MI. Wanda was 73.

Wanda was born on June 8, 1944 in Lapanto, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Carl and Chessie (Millard) Tarkington. On Oct. 2, 1971 Wanda married Eugene Dean, and together her and Eugene celebrated 44 years of marriage before Eugene passed away in April of 2016. Wanda worked for many years for area bridal shops as a seamstress.
Wanda leaves her family. Four children; Teresa Link & Fiance’ Bob Norton, Sherry & husband Douglas Lurvey, Edward & wife Sonyoung Lingle, and LaRonda & husband Chadd Leix. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several siblings, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides her husband; Wanda is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Friday January 26, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and also for a brief time Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services for Wanda; will be held at 11:00 am Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Hanlin Funeral Home with entombment to follow at the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris MI.
