Mrs. Violetta Ohman

Mrs. Violetta K. (Dean) Ohman of Vassar MI formerly of Millington, passed away late Thursday evening November 7, 2013 while at the Frankenmuth Tender Care Nursing Home in Frankenmuth, Violetta was 101 years old.

Born in Cadillac Michigan on March 10, 1912 Violetta was the daughter of Charles & Mildred (Harwood) Dean. In 1928 she married her late husband of 59 years Mr. Gustva Ohman, he has preceded her in death in May of 1987. Violetta is also preceded by her parents, and several siblings.

Violetta leaves her family, her children; Dolores Torrey, Joyce Greenfield, Barbara Jenkins, Alfred Ohman, Birger & Margaret Ohman, Rachel & Harold Dolliver, and Michele & Kelly Torrey, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She leaves all so two sisters, Ruth, and Della, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services for Violetta were held at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday November 12, 2013 and the burial to followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery in Millington. Pastor Terry Blackmer delivered the eulogy, funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery.
