Mrs. Viola Hunt

Mrs. Viola Lorna (Keinath) Hunt a lifelong Millington resident passed peacefully from our world into God’s Kingdom early Friday morning March 4, 2016 while at the Wells Springs Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Viola was 77.

Viola was born in Millington, Michigan on March 13, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Florence (Reinert) Keinath. Viola was a graduate of the Millington High School class of 1956. On September 5, 1959 Viola married Mr. Paul E. (Pete) Hunt. Together she and Pete celebrated 54 years of marriage before Pete passed away in May of 2014. Viola was also a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. She will be remembered by many for the cakes she baked, baking for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, and many other special occasions.

Viola leaves her family to cherish her memory. Ed and Jody Hunt, Terry and Peggy Hunt, Cory Hunt, and Lorie and Dwight Keinath. She leaves also nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Besides her husband and parents Viola was also preceded in death by a brother Calvin Keinath, and a sister Eleanor Bickel.

The Hunt family will receive friends Monday March 7, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, and also on Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington from 12:00 noon until the services begin. Funeral services for Viola will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Pastor James Bruner will deliver the funeral message, and the committal service at the cemetery. The burial will follow services at the Millington Township Cemetery.
