Mrs. Saundra Sharkey

Mrs. Saundra C. Sharkey of Millington passed away early Wednesday morning January 8, 2014 while at the Maplewood Manor Nursing Home in Clio, Saundra was 75.

Saundra was born in Flint Michigan on July 11, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Arthur & Lorraine (Ridley) McQueen. On September 29, 1956 Saundra married Gerald Sharkey, and together she and Gerald have celebrate 57 years of marriage. In 1992 Saundra retired from the AC/Delphi Divison of General Motors, after 29 years of service. Saundra was a past member of the Millington Athletic Boosters. Sandra loved more than anything spending time with family and friends, and cooking for everyone.

Sandra leaves her husband Gerald, three children and their spouses, Sheryl & husband Dave Boegner, Mike & wife Wendy Sharkey, and Dr, Chad & Shelly Sharkey, seven grandchildren, Clint & Holly Morey, Curtis & Shannon Morey, Dr. Michael & Jennifer Sharkey, Kyle Sharkey, Halee, Ethan, and Garrett Sharkey, Saundra leaves also 6-great grandchildren, other extended family and many friends. Saundra is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Saundra were held on Saturday January 11, at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, the burial followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery, Pastor Doug Armstrong delivered the funeral message and the closing prayer of Committal at the cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can still be directed to a charity of ones choice.
