Mrs. Sandra Martin

Mrs. Sandra S. Martin of Vassar, MI passed away late Tuesday evening June 13, 2017 while at St. Mary’s of Saginaw. Sandra was 72.

Sandra was born in Cass City, MI on May 29, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret Schemers. On September 7, 1963 Sandra married Thomas Martin, and together they have celebrated 53 years of marriage. For 23 years Sandra work for Bonner’s Christmas World of Frankenmuth, retiring in 2010 as a Check-Out Supervisor. Sandra was member of the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, MI. Sandra loved her neighborhood knitting club, and the neighborhood Monday morning coffee club. She also loved camping, the November girls shopping weekend, gardening, putting up Christmas decorations, but most of all; she loved spending time with family and the grandkids.

Sandra leaves her husband Tom. She leaves also her two children, Barry and Chris Martin, and Bonnie and Ted Schlegel, her grandchildren; Jeane, Earl, Jesse, Mackenzie, and great grandson Roman. Sandra leaves also a sister; Janet and husband Roger Hicks, and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents Sandra is also preceded in death by two grandchildren; Cody Matthew, and Wyatte Earl.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Sandra’s life will be celebrated on Saturday July 8th 2017 at 11:00 am. The memorial Mass of the reserection will be held at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, MI.
