Mrs. Rose Stratton

Mrs. Rose Alma (Schultz) Stratton of Bridgeport formerly of Vassar, passed away suddenly Friday evening Oct.-11-2013 at her residence, Rose was 76.

She was the daughter of the late Roland & Mary (Richards) Schultz, and was born in Bay City Michigan on December 21, 1936. On August the 14th of 1957 Rose married her husband of 56 years Jerry L. Stratton. Rose worked many years with Zender's in Frankenmuth, but most recently Rose was the owner operator of the "Busy Bee" Quilt Shop in Bridgeport.

Rose leaves her husband Jerry, two daughters and son-in-laws, Teenia Marie & husband Larry Rose, and Teresa & husband Tim Greenwood, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Elaine Owens, and Lora Ann Callender. Rose leaves also a sister in-law Mrs. Lois Schultz, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents Rose is also preceded in death by 2-brothers, Eugene & William (Bill) Schultz.

Service Information

Funeral services for Rose were held on Wednesday Oct. 16, 2013 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, with Pastor Dave Wermuth giving the funeral message and closing prayers at the cemetery. The burial followed at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, MI
