Mrs. Rebecca Yorke

Mrs. Rebecca (Graham) Yorke a lifelong Millington resident passed away early Friday morning January 5, 2018 while at her residence, Rebecca was 88.

Rebecca was born in Millington, MI on April 26, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Carl and Rebecca (Tuttle) Graham, and has been a Millington resident her entire life. In 1948 Rebecca married Mr. Cecil Yorke Sr. he has preceded her in death in December of 1995. Rebecca was a member of the Millington United Methodist Church. As a member of the church Rebecca helped do many things, from working on funeral dinners, helped with Sunday School, and at one time helped do the cleaning. She was also very proud to be an outstanding blood donor for the Red-Cross Blood Drives, donating many, many gallons. She was also a regular at most of the sporting events at the Millington High School, not only as a true Cardinal but helping the Athletic Boosters collect money at the gates.

Rebecca leaves her family; son Cecil Yorke Jr. Geraldine and Bruce Burns, Carl Yorke, and Susan Cox. She leaves also many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her husband, Rebecca is also preceded in death by a son Tim, and a daughter Rebecca.

The Yorke family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Monday January 8, 2018 from 3:00 until 7:00 pm and for a brief time on Tuesday at the Millington United Methodist Church where Rebecca will lie in state beginning at 10:00 am. Funeral services will be held at the Millington United Methodist Church on Tuesday January 9, 2018 beginning at 11:00 am. The burial will be private. Memorial gifts can be directed to the Yorke family.
