Mrs. Patricia Barnes

Patricia I. (Pat) Barnes of Millington passed away suddenly Sunday January 22, 2012 while at the Covenant Health Care Center Cooper Campus in Saginaw, Michigan, Pat was 74.

Pat was the daughter of the late Donald & Beatrice (Humphrey) Babion, and was born in Flint, Michigan on January 29, 1937. After high school Pat served our country by serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home she went to work for the Millington Public School System working in the Custodial Department and retired after 20 years of employment. Pat loved spending time with family and friends. She loved being a part of her church and has been a long time member of the East Arbela Church of Christ. One of Pats passions was genealogy. She love researching her family history, or helping others do the same. Pat use to hold classes at the Library just for teaching someone how to research ones own heritage. Pat also from time to time would volunteer at the Millington Community Center.

Pat leaves her children, Nancy J. Carnahan, Tamra Raymond, and Stephanie & husband Christopher Zoellner, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Carnahan, Scott (Mindy) Raymond, Amanda (Jake Ibbotson) Raymond, Andrea Gray, great grandchildren, Jessie, Allan, Sophia, Dekota, Aliyah, and AvaJo. Pat also leaves three sisters and two brother's in-laws, brother Donald & wife Betty Babion, Judy & Ron Couch, Carol Howard, Norma & Doug Oprea, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday January 25, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. The family has honor Pat's wish and cremation followed.
