Mrs. Marian M. (Ittner) McIntyre of Millington passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her residence at the age of 93. Marian was born on May 2, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan to Frederick and Clara (Tomke) Ittner and was the last of six siblings to pass. She had been a Millington resident for 64 years. Marian married Donald McIntyre on July 15, 1948 in Bay City, and together they shared 49 years of marriage before Donald passed away in 1997. Donald and Marian were in business for 39 years. During which time, they owned and operated several variety stores. Their first variety store was in Brown City, Michigan. After retirement, Donald and Marian enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and they would spend winter months in Port Charlotte FL. Marian was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington for over 64 years.
Marian leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Julie Walker and dear friend, Robert Dowling, and Nan Gookin and husband, Richard; step-son Jeffrey Kusch and wife Patti; two grandchildren, Jason (Kristen)Gookin and Jillian (Ryan) McGinnis; one great granddaughter, Charlotte McGinnis; sister in-law, Charlotte Fall; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millington, with entombment at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in Saginaw. Pastor James Bruner will officiate the funeral service. Friends may call at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 am up until the service begins.
