Mrs. Ireva Wolverton

Mrs. Ireva B. Wolverton of Millington, MI passed away early Tuesday morning April 13, 2021 at the age of 97.

Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 p m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI.  The burial will follow at the Thetford Twp. Cemetery in Clio, Michigan. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Ireva was born on December 14, 1923 in Amble, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Volera (Whiteman) Reblin. On September 20, 1947 Ireva married Laurence Wolverton and they shared 49 years of marriage before Laurence passed away in January 1997.

Ireva along with her husband and family owned and operated Wolverton Berry Farm (still in operation) located on East Lake Road. She was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Birch Run, Michigan and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI. She enjoyed playing games and was especially good at cribbage and Chinese Checkers. Ireva loved her flower garden, In the fall of the year she was busy raking leaves and wheelbarrowing them down to a field, and usually had a grandkid riding back up the hill as she returned for more leaves. She was a great letter writer and was a VIP with the Millington Post Office.

Ireva leaves her family. Her four children and their spouses; Clarence (Helen) Wolverton, Larry (Connie) Wolverton, Tracy (Connie) Wolverton and Janice (Tom) Schiefer. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2-great-great grandchildren, niece, nephews, and extended family. Besides her parents, and husband Ireva is also preceded in death by a daughter Joyce.   The family would like to give a special thank you to her special neighbors Mary and George Forsyth, and her Stephens Minister Sue.
