Mrs. Irene Slabaugh

Mrs. Irene (Mayer) Slabaugh passed away Friday August 17, 2012 while at the Tender Care Nursing Home in Frankenmuth MI Irene was 89.

Irene was the daughter of the late Ezra and Lydia Ann (Byler) Mayer and was born in Pigeon MI on January 8 1923. On August 18, 1946 Irene married William Henry Slabaugh, Henry has preceded her in death. Henry and Irene were associated with the Pineview Mennonite Church in Vassar MI.

Irene leaves her family David & wife Jane Slabaugh, Karen (Slabaugh) & husband Glenn Yoder, Michele Slabaugh, Daniel Slabaugh, Mary & husband Mike Zehr, grandchildren Nathaniel & wife Amy Slabaugh, Mark Slabaugh, Peter, and John Slabaugh, Anna Slabaugh, Nathan Slabaugh, Samuel & wife Lori Zehr, and Julia Zerh, Irene leaves also nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides her husband Irene is also preceded in death by a grandchild Erin Noel Slabaugh, seven sisters, and five brothers.

The funeral services were held on Saturday August 25, 2012 at the Vassar Pineview Mennonite Church, and the burial followed at the Pineview Menonnite Cemetery.
