Mrs. G. Faith McGeathy of Vassar MI formerly of Millington MI passed away Monday evening while at the Bickford's assisted living facility in Saginaw Twp., after a long hard struggle with Alzheimer's, Faith was 86.
Faith was the daughter of the late Thore and Vera (Banks) Brimmer and was born in Bay City Michigan on January 15th, 1927. On June the 15th of 1946 Faith married her husband Robert L. (Bob)McGeathy, and together she and Robert celebrated 43 years of marriage before his passing in June of 1989. Faith worked with her husband in the day to day operation of their farm here in the Millington area. Faith loved to sing and had a beautiful voice for singing, and was very active in her church, Community Church of Christ in Mayville MI. When time allowed Faith loved working in her flower garden, creating a new painting on canvas, and spending time with family and grand kids. Faith fought a long hard fight with Alzheimer's, but she fought with courage and strength.
Faith leaves her four children, Faith Ann & husband Frank Rivard, Rebecca McGeathy, Kenneth & wife Shelley McGeathy, and Priscilla & husband Dave Rickard, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, Faith also leaves a sister Elna VanHoutten, a sister in-law Jennie Smith, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

The McGeathy family has honored Faiths wish and cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Sunday March 17, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for a time of visiting and sharing.
At 5:00 pm there will be a celebration of Faiths life. Vickie Beebe will deliver the eulogy and the closing prayers at the end of the service.
Because Faith felt that education and reading were very important to succeed in life,the family has asked that Memorial Gifts of Remembrance be directed to the Millington - Arbela District Library.
