Mrs. Elsie Sanders

Mrs. Elsie M. (Summerfield) Sanders formerly of Millington Michigan passed away early Sunday morning July 6, 2014 while at the Medi- Lodge Nursing Home in Sterling Michigan, Elsie was 94.

Elsie was the daughter of the late August & Sarah (Beards) Summerfield and was born on August 3, of 1919 in Millington, Michigan. Elsie was married to Raymond Sanders; Raymond preceded her in death in August of 1970. Elsie is also preceded in death by a son Larry, and a daughter Barbara.

Elsie leaves her children; three sons and their wives; Robert & Jessie Sanders, David & Sue Sanders, Dick & Patricia Sanders, and a daughter Elsie Sanders, a daughter in-law Ruby Sanders, 13 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services were held on Friday July 11, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Vassar MI. The burial followed at the Millington Township Cemetery in Millington, Michigan. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to charity of one's choice.
