Mrs. Doris DeOrnellas

Mrs. Doris J. (Saeger) DeOrnellas of Millington passed away late Wednesday evening January 16, 2013 at the Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc MI Doris was 83.

Born in Holly Michigan on April 6, 1929 Doris was the daughter of the late Richard & Ella(Ostic) Saeger. On April 12, 1947 Doris married her husband of 66 years Mr. Noele DeOrnellas, Noele precedes Doris in death in 2007. Doris was employed many years with General Motors Turnsteads Division retiring in 1981. She was also a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. In her spare time Doris loved to crochet, read, go to the Casino's dancing and was a member of the Happy Hoofers Tap Dancing Club.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory her children, daughter Cheryl Roeske, son & daughter in-law Dennis & Betty DeOrnellas, and daughter Lisa DeOrnellas, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a great - great granddaughter, three brothers and sisters in-law, Alvin & Winn Saeger, Arthur & Luella Saeger, and Rudy & Carol Saeger, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her husband and parents Doris is also preceded in death by two son's Randy in 1991, Ralph in 1950, a son in-law Jim Roeske in 1998, a brother Royce Saeger, and a sister Joyce Liske.

Funeral services for Doris were held on Monday January 21, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the burial followed at the Millington Township Cemetery. Pastor Kirk Abattelli delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be give in Doris's memory to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
