Mrs. Diane Stochowitz

Mrs Diane Lynn (Matonek) Stochowitz of Millington passed away late Friday evening July 24th 2015 at the Maplewood Manor in Clio. Diane was 68.


Diane was the daughter of the late Gus & Irene (Arnot) Matonek and was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 12, 1947. She was a graduate of Visitation High School in 1965. On June 28, 1975 Diane married Gary Stochowitz, and together they have celebrated 40 years together. Diane was involved from a very young age in her family business, "Gus Matonek Trucking Inc. She worked for many years as the company bookkeeper and secretary, and eventually became the company President. Diane loved flowers and her floral gardens. She loved going up north to the cabin, and their many fishing trips to Canada, but most of all and more than anything she loved spending time with family and friends.


Diane leaves. Her husband Gary, children; son Craig and his wife Andrea Stochowitz, daughter, Kendra and her husband Jason Kern, and a grandson Luke Stochowitz. She leaves also a sister Lynne and husband Malcum McCuen, nieces Milea Krummen,Mari and husband Brian Mullen, great nephew: Levi Krummen,, great niece: Quinn Mullen, as well as other extended family and many friends. Besides her parents Diane is also preceded in death by; a son James (Darin) DeFord, a sister, Sandra Kay Matonak, in-laws, Glen and Dorothy Stochowitz, sister in-law Linda Stochowitz.
