Mrs Christina Granny-Green

Mrs. Christina M. (Mathews) Granny-Green of Millington, Mi passed away peacefully early Monday morning Nov. 7, 2016 at her residence with her family at her side. Christina was 79.

Christina was born on September 16, 1937 in Mt. Morris, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Earl and Julia (Krueger) Mathews. On March 17, 1953 Christina married William Ray Green and together Ray and Christina have celebrated 63 years of marriage. They settled in Millington where they raised their family..

Christina leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Ray. She leaves also her children; Earl and Robyn Green Sr., Loretta and Richard Gratopp, Diane Green, Dan and Marion Detgen, and Patty and Mike Ziegler. Christina leaves also eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister and brother in-law; Veronica and Ron Meader, two brothers and their wives; Richard and Sharman Mathews, and Benny and Vicki Mathews. Christina leaves also nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents Christina is also preceded in death by a son Perry Green Sr. in 2013, a grandson Earl Green Jr in 2010, and several of her siblings.

The Green family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and for a brief time on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the services begin. Funeral services for Christina will be at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Thursday Nov. 10, 2016 beginning at 1:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery.
