Mrs. Charlotte Cahalan

Mrs. Charlotte L. Cahalan of Millington, MI passed away early Monday afternoon June 12, 2017 while at McLaren of Flint, in Flint, MI. Charlotte was 89.

Charlotte was born in Detroit, MI on September 14, 1927 and was the daughter of the late William and Nell Kennedy. On January 10, 1955 Charlotte married John Cahalan, they celebrated 44 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. Charlotte resided many years in Florida, and it’s been in the past 10 years she has returned to Michigan.

Charlotte leaves her family to cherish her memory. She leaves eight children; Daniel Cahalan, Lou Anne Cahalan, Patricia Gartner, Michael and Sharon Cahalan, Jean and Reggie Critchett, Margaret and Keith Carter, Virgina and Glenn Rinusch, and Mary Ruth Cahalan, she leaves also 10 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, a brother; James and wife Ruth Kennedy, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides hare husband and parents, Charlotte is preceded in death also by; a daughter Nell, Charlotte’s siblings; two sisters and a brother in-law; Margaret and husband Ed Hall, Christine Clancy, brothers, three brothers and two sister’s in-law; William and wife Lorraine Kennedy, Richard and wife Dolores Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy.

There will be a memorial gathering and a Mass of the Resurrection celebrated on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 10:00 am. The Mass will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb, MI [ 18201 23 Mile Rd./corner of Remeo Plank Rd.]The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:30 am.
