Mrs. Betty Ward

Mrs. Betty E. (Frost) Ward of Millington, Michigan passed away early Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018 while at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper campus in Saginaw, MI.  Betty was 78.

Betty was born on December 14, 1939 in Vassar MI and was the daughter of the late Ward and Theyo (Rosencrants) Frost.   Betty grew up in Vassar, MI graduating from Vassar High School in 1957.  On August 23, 1958, Betty married Wade Ward and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage before his passing in 2003. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #390 of Millington; she also belonged to the Millington United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by four children: two daughters; Karen Withers, and Janice Ward, two sons; Evart and Matthew Ward. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  Betty has two sisters and brother in-laws surviving; Nancy (Eugene) Palmreuter, and Kay (Cay) Johnson; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Betty was also preceded in death by grandson Christopher in 1991, son Daniel in 2004 and son in-law Rob Withers in 2018.

The Ward family has honored Betty’s request and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI. The Ward family will receive friends on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at the Hanlin Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 pm until services begin.  Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Millington Community Center, or to a charity of one’s choice.
