Mrs. Betty J. (Babe) Glynn of Millington passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Saturday afternoon May 2nd 2015 at her residence, with her family at her side, Babe was 89.
Babe was born on March the 18th of 1926 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Johnson) Mills, Babe was also a graduate of the Vassar High School. Babe married Wayne Glynn on March 31st of1942 , and together she and Wayne celebrated 62 years of marriage before Wayne passed away in June of 2004. Babe was retired from Means Manufacturing in Vassar after 30 years of employment. She was also a member of the Richfield Church of the Nazarene and a past member of the Millington Church of the Nazarene.
Babe leaves her family; three sons and a daughter; Larry and wife Cathy Glynn, Thomas and wife Pamela Glynn, Timothy Glynn, daughter Rosemaria and husband Stephen Alvord. Babe leaves also several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, two sisters; Evelyn Rendleman, and Dorothy Spender, she leaves also several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides her husband and parents Babe is also preceded in death by a daughter Angela Sue Burton, great-grandson Hunter Stokes, sisters, Lillian Johnson, Marie Pettys, brothers; Fieldyn Mills, Clayton Mills, Vern Mills, and Worth Mills.
The Glynn family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Babe will lie in-state on Wednesday at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene (on the corner of Mt. Morris and Irish Roads) where friends can also call after 10:00 Am. Funeral services for Babe will be held at 11:00 Am Wednesday at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Jason Crum and Dr. Stephen Anthony will deliver the funeral message and closing prayers at the cemetery, the burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the family for a memorial to be established later.
