Mrs. Angeline Violet (Gorney) Keene went to be with her Lord and Savior with her family at her side early Saturday August 25, 2012, while at the Covenant Health Care Center - Cooper Campus in Saginaw MI Angie was 85.
Angie was born February 14, 1927 in Bay City Michigan and was the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Kusmierz) Gorney. On October 4, 1947 Angie married Walter E. Keene, she and Walter have celebrated 64 years of marriage and together have raised seven children. Angie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She was a very spirited individual who made the best of any situation. Angie was a member of the Millington United Methodist Church and she walked with God her entire life. She led by example and had only good things to say. She was an instant friend to those she met and she loved to talk about Jesus. Angie would want everyone to know that God loves us all and has a place in his house for each and every one of us. Angie's love and spirit will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and friends.
Angie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Walter E. Keene, daughter and husband Ethel & Jerry Hall, son James & wife Sue Keene, daughter Sue & husband Sherman Levan, son Carroll Keene, daughter Virginia & husband Richard Moore, step-daughter Heather & husband John Badcock, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great grandchild, she also leaves her brother Frank & wife Margie Gorney as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family and many, many friends she has met along the way. Angie is preceded in death by her parents Martin & Catherine Gorney, sisters Peggy, Mary, Kay, and Josephine, brothers Martin and Tom Gorney, two sons Walter Keene, and Russell Keene, and a granddaughter Annette Levan-Mucker.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 Pm, and also at the Millington United Methodist Church Thursday morning from 11:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services for Angie will be on Thursday August 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Millington United Methodist Church, with the burial to follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. Pastor Pete Crawford will deliver the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed the Millington United Methodist Church.
