Russell J. Germain Jr., a lifelong Millington resident of Millington, MI passed away at his residence early Thursday evening October 6, 2016. Russ was 62 .
Russ was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 17, 1953, and was the son of Esther Scholl (Ward) and Russell J. Germain Sr. Russ graduated in 1972 from Millington High School. He worked around the area as a roofer and did siding. He loved spending time with family, and friends.
Russ leaves to cherish his memory; his mother Mrs. Esther Scholl. He leaves also two children; daughter and son in-law, Ragan and Jason Wilson, also a son Nathan Germain. Russ also leaves five grandchildren; Justin, Jacob, Halley, McKenzie, and Jase, and he also has a great grandson due to arrive in mid-January 2017. He leaves his siblings; Susan Germain, Wendy Germain, Timothy Germain, Thomas Germain, LuAnn and husband Craig Norris, and David Scholl, aunt Luella and uncle Art Saeger, several cousins, nieces, nephews special friend Kimmie Heidt, and many, many friends. Russ is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Inez Ward, brother and sister in-law; Theodore and wife Nancy Germain, sister Karen Germain-Seidel, and his father Russell J. Germain Sr.
The Germain family has honored Russell’s wish and cremation has taken place. The family would like to invite friends and neighbors to a graveside service on Monday Oct. 17, 2016 at 11:00 am, which will be held at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. There will be no services at the funeral home prior to the cemetery services. Memorial gifts of remembrances can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Germain Family with arrangements.
