Mr. Robert Green Sr

Mr. Robert Lee (Bob) Green of the Vassar and Millington area passed away suddenly early Sunday morning August 26, 2012, Bob was 60.

Bob was born on January 28, 1952 in Flint Michigan and was the son of the late Harold & Ruth (Miller) Green. On December 11, 1969 Bob married his wife of 42 wonderful years Miss Denece Davis. Bob served our country in the US-Army during the Vietnam War. He was at one time employed with Means Manufacturing in Vassar, and more recently he was employed with Aramark Maintenance Company. Bob was very proud of his college graduation in April of 2012, graduating from Davenport College earning his Associates Degree. He was also a true Maize & Blue University of Michigan football fan, and a fan in general to any of the U of M athletics. If U of M participated in any type of sport Bob knew how, when, where and who participated and what the outcome of the event was. His warm friendly smile and his willingness to help will be missed but never forgotten.

Bob leaves to cherish his many memories, wife Denece, children; three sons and a daughter in-law, Jack & wife Melissa Stewart, Robert Green Jr. and Jason Green, daughter Pamela Green, seven grandchildren; Michael, Jacob, Kenneth, Alex, Mackenzie, Madison, and Benjamin, great grandson Patrick, brother Wayne & wife Linda Green, sister Bonnie & husband Mark Annarino, brother Harold & wife Cindy Green, a ½ brother Phillip Green, and five ½ sisters, Angela, Dianna, Roxanna, Josette, and Crystal, as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and also an hour prior to the services on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 30, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Bobs son Jason will deliver the eulogy. The Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post #164 will conclude services with Military Honors. The family will honor Bob's wishes and cremation will follow the services.
