Mr. Richard Hoard

Mr. Richard Earl Hoard a lifelong Millington resident passed away Saturday afternoon April 9, 2016 while at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Richard was 77.

Richard was born in Millington on September 7, 1938, and was the son of the late Henry and Julian (Comaromi) Hoard. He was a graduate of Millington High School, Richard serve a two year tour in the US-Army. On April the 4, of 1959 Richard married Charlotte Taylor. Charlotte proceeds him in death.

Richard leaves his family; two daughters and sons in-law. Marlene and husband Doug Ewing, and Vicki and Husband David Nudd. He leaves also two grandchildren; Tiffany Ewing, Kyle and wife Jane Ewing, two great grandchildren, Kole, and Chase. Richard leaves also a sister Mrs. June Hornung, and several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Besides his wife and parents Richard is also preceded in death by a brother in-law Fred Hornung.

The family has honored Richards’s wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a time of visiting and remembrance on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. At which time Pastor Janice Duce will deliver a brief message and prayers. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider the Alzheimer’s Association for gifts of remembrance.
