Mr. Mitchell Prabucki

Mr. Mitchell F. Prabucki of Millington passed away at his residence Saturday Dec. 17, 2016. Mitchell was 83.

Mitchell was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 7, 1933 and was the son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Mushuska) Prabucki. Mitchell grew up in Kingston where he graduated from Kingston High School in 1953. After he graduated Mitchell went to work for General Motors Steering Gear Division in Saginaw, MI; he retired in June of 1987 after 34 years of employment. On August 22, 1959 Mitchell married Miss Eileen Flynn. Together Mitchell and Eileen have celebrated 57 years of marriage. Mitchell was a member of St. Frances Xavire Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, MI. He was an animal lover; every one of his pets had a special place in his heart, from his dog Zoey, his birds, and his cats. Mitchell was also a Golden Eagle of Vassar’s FOE #2380.

Mitchell leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Eileen and three children; two sons, Mitchell J Prabucki, Steve and wife Toni Prabucki, and a daughter Loretta Green. He leaves also; five grandchildren, Alivia, Sean, Bradon, Josh and Jordon. Mitchell leaves also nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Mitchell is preceded in death by a son in-law Jack Green, his sisters; Irene Schwaderer, Wanda Leja, Cecilia Dubovski, and an infant son Bernard Dewitt Prabucki.

The Prabucki family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2016 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI. At 7:00 pm Tuesday evening there will be prayer services conducted by Sister Ellen of St Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. There will be also a brief time of visitation at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the church just prior to the mass. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar, MI. The burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery in Millington. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the St. Frances Building Fund, or to an area animal shelter or rescue.
