Larry Von Streeter, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and brother and life time Vassar resident, passed away at his home early Friday morning April, 19, 2013 Larry was 75.
Larry was born in Vassar MI on September 24, 1937 to the late Norman & Elda (Tremonti) Streeter. On August 30, 1958 Larry married his wife of 54 years Maryeln Stewart. Larry was self employed as an auto body repairman for many years before he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1982. He continued to work on resorting old cars and fixing anything that was broke. As the disease progressed, he spent time with friends going to flea markets and tinkering with anything his hands would let him hold. With his friends he started a breakfast club in his garage. They enjoyed cooking and telling stories. Larry loved spending time with his beloved grandson Caiden Von, and step granddaughter Daryl-Jo. His daughter Tracey and her husband Alan provided many days of much needed help and support.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory; wife Mary, daughter & son in-law Tracey & Alan Jackson, grandson Caiden, step-granddaughter Daryl-Jo, sister Norma Service, sister in-law Georgene & husband John Williams, brothers in-law Evart Stewart and wife Cheryl, Steve Aranyos & wife Pam, and Greg Aranyos & wife Lisa, as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends. He also leaves his special uncle & aunt, Duane & Shirley Streeter, and special cousins Bob & David. Besides his parents Larry is also preceded in death by a sister LaNora Pierce, baby brother Raymond, and his beloved in-laws Charles and Louise Aranyos.
The family would like to thank McLaren Visiting Nurses & Hospice, McLaren Bay Special Care Holly and all the wonderful staff. The family also appreciates the support and prayers of his family, and many friends.
