Mr. James Roach

James Edwin (Edd) Roach of Vassar passed away suddenly early Thursday morning December 18, 2014 at his Vassar residence, Edd was 70.

Edd was born on February 5th of 1944 in El Reno Oklahoma and was the son of the late Woodrow and Della Roach. Edd was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and served our country proudly in the United Stgate Marine Corp. Edd truly believe "Once a Marine Always a Marine". Edd was a master engineer; he was always looking for a better way. He was the head of Engineering at Rockwell International in Tilbury, Ontario Canada, and then was promoted to Director of Engineering at Rockwell's world headquarters in Troy, Michigan until he retired. On February 16 of 1979 Edd married Patricia and together he and Patricia have celebrated 35 years of marriage.

Edd leaves his wife Patricia, children; Brenda and Jay Boeck, Lori and Robert Hollis, Dirk Roach, four grandchildren, Jayson Boeck (Madeline), Kevin Hollis, Katlyn Gilbert (Kevin) and Sarah Hollis. H e leaves also a great grandchild Bailey Boeck, an acquired daughter Susan Hendrix, two acquired grandchildren, Kristen, Ciegotura, Steel Mills Jr. He leaves also extended family and many friends. Edd is preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Leann Roach, and his parents.

The family has honored Edd's wishes and cremation has taken pace. There was a time of sharing and honoring his memory at the Hanin Funeral Home in Millington on December 29, 2014.
