Mr. James Allen (Jim) Herrick of Millington, passed away Wednesday afternoon while at the Tendercare Nursing Home in Frankenmuth Mi at the age of 74.
Jim was born in Flint Michigan on January 1, 1937, and was the son of William & Eilene (Dake) Herrick. On June 23, 1962 Jim married his wife of 49 years Carol Springsteen. He was employed as die maker for 30 years working for General Motors at the Flint Chevrolet Plant "in the hole" as it was referred to. Jim retired in 1999. He was a member of the UAW Local 659 and was a member of the Montrose Eagles #4090. Jim loved spending time with family and friends at the cabin, spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and playing golf. He also loved his winters in Punta Gorda Florida with his many winter friends.
Jim leaves his wife Carol, four sons and three daughters' in-law; Craig Herrick, Scott & Teri Herrick, Ryan & Cherri Herrick, and Mark & Anne Herrick, four grandchildren, Kristin & husband Eric Cassabon, Rachel Herrick, Jennifer Herrick, and Dylan Herrick, and also a very special and beautiful great granddaughter Brynn.

Funeral services were held on Monday July 18, 2011 at the Hanlin Funeral Home with the burial that followed at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Arbela Twp.
